I was raised by my mom. Somewhere along the way I realized something: men need men to help them become men, and to keep becoming better men.
When that part of your life is missing, it becomes really important that someone is there looking out for you and rooting for you, whatever that looks like.
At the same time, fathers are seen as the providers, the ones who never need help. The truth is that resources for dads, and for men, are limited.
That is the whole point of Fearless Fathers.
Fearless Fathers is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit that grew out of the Dear Fathers community. Founded in 2020, we are currently serving Solano County, with Alameda and Contra Costa counties coming soon.

A Fearless Fathers program / Cohort 01 / Now serving Solano County
A free, six month mentoring program for boys in grades 6 to 9, currently serving families in Solano County. Through hands on experiences, honest conversations, and consistent mentorship, the boys build practical life skills, confidence, and a sense of responsibility to themselves and others.
Nobody is born knowing how to be a man. Somebody has to show you. We are the somebody.
Every session is built around one of four things a young man needs before he needs them.
Integrity, respect, and owning your word. How to carry yourself when nobody is watching.
The stuff school skips. Checking your oil, pumping gas, handling money, showing up on time.
A circle of boys and mentors who hold each other up and hold each other accountable.
Speaking up, shaking hands, looking people in the eye, and knowing what you bring to the room.

Families meet the mentors, see the schedule, and get every question answered.
Sessions generally run 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with mentors. Field trips have their own schedule, shared with families ahead of time.

The next cohort is for boys in grades 6 to 9 for the 2027 to 2028 school year. Our pilot cohort includes boys in grades 5 to 10. Mini Men Academy is currently serving Solano County, with Alameda and Contra Costa counties coming soon. Each cohort is kept small so every boy gets real attention from a mentor.

Life happens. Boys can miss up to three sessions across the six month program. Please let the team know ahead of time when your son cannot make it.
Before any trip, families receive the details directly, including check in and pickup times. Participation and transportation permissions from the Parent/Guardian Consent Packet must be on file before your son can travel.

The boys do not need perfect men. They need present ones. Sessions meet every other Saturday, generally 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. If you can give that time, teach a skill for one session, or help at an outing, we want to hear from you. Every session costs something real: food, supplies, the van and gas to get the boys there, and the people who teach. Pick an experience, pick a level, and you help make that day possible. Any amount helps, and Mini Men Academy stays free for families because of supporters like you.
